Project Overview

This is a case study project.

Nowadays, people are familiar with using their mobile phones to get as much done as we can. Especially since the pandemic, we rely on convenient delivery services to safely purchase food, groceries and many more products. A successful food delivery app needs to stand out with an efficient experience for users to get what they need.

The Jap Jap food delivery app is designed to direct users quickly to actions. Convenient for users and increased sales for businesses.

To gain a better understanding on how food delivery apps are used and common problems experienced, the following research activities were done:

•Competitors research & analysis

•76.9% use the service more than 5times a months
•76.9% spend around $100-200 at a time
•69.2% think 30mins is reasonable to wait
•66.7% choose by food categories
•46.2% think food variety are the most important

For the navigation bar layout, we provide two versions.

•Version 1: navigation bar is hidden until the Profile icon on top right is clicked on, to give more space. This is because most users understand how to search for the navigation bar under the icon.
•Version 2: keeps the navigation on display at the bottom which is a familiar user experience and easy for less knowledgeable users as well.
